Here are five lifestyle habits people can adopt to become healthier in the new year:

1. Eat Clean and Hydrate

Number one would be the choices you make for the food you eat. Not a diet, but a lifestyle change. And really start with avoiding processed foods and drinking more water. Then become more and more clean with the choices you make for your foods as you progress.

2. Start an Exercise Routine

The second habit would be to start a consistent exercise routine. Aim for three times per week for 20 to 30 minutes.

3. Keep a Positive Mental Attitude

The third healthy habit is to keep a positive mental attitude. Stay away from the doom-and-gloom mob. Surround yourself with positive people that are already achieving what you want.

4. Get Quality Rest

The fourth healthy lifestyle habit is getting quality rest. The amount of sleep needed is different for each person. The highest quality of sleep occurs before midnight, so we have got to get to bed earlier. Our body only heals when we’re at rest, so it’s vital that we are getting good quality rest.

5. Maintain a Healthy Nervous System

Number five is to maintain a healthy nervous system. This is the glue that pulls all the other ingredients together. Our nervous system is the master control system for the entire body, so regular chiropractic care keeps your nervous system running at its peak efficiency.
